The meeting between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, and representatives of the Chinese holding "Guangdong Holdings Limited" took place recently. According to the press service of the Cabinet, the discussion focused on opportunities for investment cooperation.
During the conversation, the representatives of the holding noted that Kyrgyzstan has significant potential in the energy sector, which sparked their interest in projects for the construction of hydropower plants and water supply systems.
The National Investment Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with representatives of the holding, has already begun work on issues of investment cooperation.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of the work of the National Investment Fund and noted that attracting foreign investments for the socio-economic development of the country is a priority direction.
He also expressed readiness for further cooperation with the Chinese side, noting that China is a strategic partner for Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in implementing specific projects in areas such as energy, agriculture, tourism, and investments.
