As part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Japanese scholarship program JDS, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in a special forum.

He emphasized that the development of human capital is an important strategic priority for the government. Kasymaliev expressed interest in expanding the JDS program and creating new opportunities for youth working in government structures.

“Over the past two decades, more than 300 Kyrgyz citizens have received education through this program at prestigious universities such as Ritsumeikan, Meiji, Tsukuba, Hiroshima, and the Japan International University. The knowledge gained in fields such as science, technology, international relations, and business administration has a significant impact on our society and economy. Our graduates hold key positions in government agencies and international organizations, contributing to the development of the country. This confirms the effectiveness of the program,” he noted, expressing gratitude to the Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyzstan and the organizations JICA and JICE for their important contribution.

Kasymaliev also noted that Japan has become an example of economic success for many Eastern countries, including Korea and Malaysia, and is a leader in the field of science and technology. He added that Japan's experience inspires Kyrgyzstan to achieve high results.

“We are confident that we can achieve significant success. In 2025, GDP growth is projected at 11.1%, which averages 10.2% real growth over the past four years. This is an impressive result both regionally and globally. We strive for an economic breakthrough that we call the 'Snow Leopard Leap',” he stated.

Japan is known for its ability to combine traditions with modern technologies. We aim to adopt their experience of effective state planning and harmonious interaction with the private sector. In Japan, forecasting economic and social processes is implemented at a high level, which serves as the basis for scientific policy,” the government leader added.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that the JDS program is a long-term tool for strengthening statehood and enhancing the qualifications of personnel. He noted that graduates of this program represent a generation that combines advanced education with national responsibility and is ready to make a significant contribution to the development of the national economy.
