President of the United States Donald Trump announced the death of Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei. Here is his message on the Truth Social platform:
Trump added: "As I said last night: 'Now they can get immunity, and then only death awaits them!' I hope the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the police will peacefully unite with Iranian patriots and work together as one to restore the greatness that the country deserves."
He also noted that "not only has Khamenei perished, but the entire country has been virtually completely destroyed and even erased from the face of the earth in one day. However, massive and targeted bombings will continue uninterrupted throughout the week or as long as it takes to achieve our goal – PEACE IN THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST AND, ULTIMATELY, IN THE WHOLE WORLD!"
Trump concluded his message with words of gratitude for attention to this matter.
Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah of Iran, expressed approval regarding the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Pahlavi stated on social media: "Ali Khamenei, the bloodthirsty Zahhak of our time, the murderer of tens of thousands of the bravest sons and daughters of Iran, has been erased from the pages of history."
He noted that "with his death, the Islamic Republic has effectively ceased to exist and will soon be sent to the dustbin of history."
Pahlavi urged Iranian officials not to appoint a successor and warned that this is "the last chance" for the military, security forces, and police to join the people.
He added: "This marks the beginning of our great national celebration, but this is not yet the end of the road."
After the 1979 revolution, Pahlavi left Iran with his parents and has since lived in the United States.
