In Kyrgyzstan, the Supreme Court has decided to annul all previous court sentences against Mahabat Tajibek kyzy, the project leader of Temirov LIVE and "Ayt, ait dese," which were recognized as extremist in the country. The case has been sent back to the Lenin District Court of Bishkek for reconsideration due to new circumstances. This was reported by Azattyk.

Thus, the Supreme Court annulled the sentence handed down by the Lenin District Court on October 10, 2024, under which Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was sentenced to six years in prison. The decisions of the Bishkek City Court from December 18, 2024, and the Supreme Court from February 25, 2025, which confirmed the previous court acts, have also been annulled.

The UN working group investigating cases of arbitrary detention previously pointed out human rights violations during the detention of employees of Temirov LIVE and "Ayt, ait dese." It sent recommendations to the authorities of Kyrgyzstan, including a call for the release of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy.

Mahabat Tajibek kyzy's lawyer, relying on the UN's findings, filed a petition with the Supreme Court for a review of the case based on newly discovered circumstances.

In January 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 11 journalists and activists who were allegedly linked to the projects Temirov LIVE and "Ayt, ait dese." They were charged under the article on "Mass Riots."

As a result of the court proceedings held on October 10, 2024, Mahabat Tajibek kyzy was sentenced to six years in prison, while Azamat Ishenbekov received five years. The judicial instances confirmed these sentences. Journalists Aktilek Kaparov and Aika Beishikeeva were placed on probation for three years, while the other seven defendants were acquitted.

Azamat Ishenbekov was released in April 2025 under a presidential pardon.

Currently, Mahabat Tajibek kyzy is serving her sentence in the women's colony No. 2 in the Chui region. She is the wife of Bolot Temirov, an investigative journalist who was convicted and expelled from the country and now lives abroad.

On October 27 of last year, at the request of prosecutors, the October District Court of Bishkek recognized the materials of the media projects Temirov Live, "Ayt ait dese," and "Kloop," as well as the activities of their founders Bolot Temirov and Rinat Tukhvatshin, as extremist, which effectively led to the banning of their websites and pages.

The record "The Supreme Court annulled the sentence of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy and sent the case for reconsideration" was first published on the K-News website.
