Recently, the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulahiz Kary Zakirov, visited the village of Bai-Munduz in the Jalal-Abad region, the birthplace of the outstanding religious figure and former Mufti Chubak Aji Jalilov. During the visit, he met with the father of the deceased and paid tribute by reciting prayers at his grave.

In his speech, the Mufti emphasized the significance of Chubak Aji for Islamic education in the region. He highlighted that Jalilov was not only a scholar but also a true phenomenon for Kyrgyz theology, recognized as an authority throughout Central Asia. During his tenure as Mufti, he initiated numerous reforms aimed at improving the organization's operations. “Chubak Aji left behind a legacy that continues to develop, including in matters of reforming the Hajj and ensuring its transparency. The method of religious education through the 'question-answer' format remains in demand among Muslims,” added Zakirov.

Additionally, it became known that on April 1-2, 2026, a republican Quran recitation competition dedicated to the memory of Chubak Aji will take place in the city of Manas. The event is organized with the support of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK) and sponsors.
