In Bishkek, in the Lenin district, the prosecutor's office discovered facts of unlawful collection of money from the parents of students at secondary school No. 95, which violates the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on guarantees of free school education.
It turned out that some teachers were collecting fees for additional lessons, the amount of which exceeded the state tariff. This is a serious violation of the law, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the prosecutor's inspection, 4 teachers were held accountable, 5 employees of the Education Department of the Bishkek city mayor's office received disciplinary actions, and the school principal was dismissed from their position.
Efforts to curb illegal collections in educational institutions are ongoing.
