During his working trip to Moscow, Daniyar Amangeldiev, who holds the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in another meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that the agenda of the meeting included 35 issues concerning important aspects of integration cooperation. Six of them were approved without further discussion.

The main focus of the meeting was on issues related to the development of integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Topics discussed included digitalization, technical regulation, public procurement processes, and statistical interaction.

In particular, a report on the current state and prospects of the Integrated Information System of the EAEU was approved, which plays a key role in ensuring quality digital interaction between member states and implementing joint Union processes. The report will be sent for further discussion at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

The EEC Council also supported the draft Program of Joint Actions for EAEU member states aimed at protecting consumer rights for the period from 2026 to 2030. This document includes measures to improve the protection of citizens' rights, enhance interaction between relevant agencies, and harmonize the legislative framework.

Additionally, the Program for the Development of Integration in the Field of Statistics of the EAEU for 2026-2030 was adopted, which will improve the comparability of statistical data and optimize the methodology for collecting information at the Union level.

The discussion also touched upon issues of technical regulation. Council members reviewed proposed changes to the technical regulation of the Customs Union "On the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment" (TR CU 019/2011), which clarify the requirements for various types of protective equipment and update the terminology of the regulation.

Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed mechanisms for determining the country of origin of goods for state and municipal procurement. Plans for synchronizing the timelines for the entry into force of national rules and developing unified approaches to confirming the origin of software used in the industries of EAEU countries were also in focus.

A decision was also made to introduce labeling for certain types of confectionery products using identification means.

According to this decision, EAEU member states will be able to independently determine the timelines and procedures for implementing labeling in their territories, notifying the EEC no later than six months before the start of application. This will create conditions for the traceability of goods and protect the market from counterfeit products.
