During his working trip to Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, participated in the international forum "Digital Qazaqstan – 2026". This was reported by the press service of the Government of Kyrgyzstan.
Before the start of the event, the heads of government of the EAEU countries and delegates from invited states took a joint photo, after which they familiarized themselves with the exhibition of digital projects.
The exhibition showcased relevant digital technologies aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and protecting the environment.
Next, a plenary session took place, during which Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that technologies are developing at an incredible speed, significantly changing everyday life. New discoveries in medicine, biology, physics, and chemistry occur almost daily, shaping our understanding of the future.
"Currently, the export activities of residents of the High Technology Park of Kyrgyzstan account for about one percent of the country's total GDP, which indicates the formation of a new technological foundation for the economy. We aim for this figure to increase to three percent by 2030. Artificial intelligence has already become a part of our reality, penetrating hospitals, schools, government institutions, and industrial enterprises. Kyrgyzstan recognizes this reality and is taking systemic steps. The National Council on Artificial Intelligence is actively functioning in our country," he noted.
Moreover, Kasymaliev highlighted the serious challenges facing the Union that require the implementation of modern technologies, such as monitoring tailings storage facilities with water resources and toxic waste, as well as ensuring safety and addressing environmental issues.
"The preservation and development of the languages of the peoples in our region in the era of artificial intelligence presents both a challenge and an opportunity. We are initiating the creation of open data repositories in the Kyrgyz language, the development of language models, and machine translation. Several initiatives are also proposed, including the establishment of a digital financial hub for the post-Soviet space and a credit conveyor for IT companies," he added.
During the plenary session, important topics such as digital mining, cryptocurrency exchanges, cybersecurity, educational technologies, and corporate innovations were discussed. Representatives from government bodies, businesses, large IT companies, startups, as well as experts and investors in the field of digital technologies were invited to the forum.
The main focus of the forum was on the implementation of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in various sectors, including industry, public administration, social services, and education, as well as the development of intersectoral and interregional cooperation and a joint digital economy at the national and Eurasian levels.
