The National Center for Maternal and Child Health responded to the words of a deputy regarding the potential risks of cross-infection in the hospital.

Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva expressed concerns about cross-infection caused by a lack of autoclaves in the institution.

In response, the center noted that they have two modern sterilization centers operating at two locations (addresses: Akhunbaeva Street, 190 and Togolok Moldo Street, 1).

“They can mutually replace each other if necessary, which eliminates any interruptions in operation,” the press service clarified.

The NCMMC has modern sterilization equipment, including two new steam sterilizers that were put into operation in November 2025, two plasma sterilizers, and a GP-600 sterilizer, which is temporarily undergoing scheduled maintenance until January 16, 2026.

“All sterilization procedures are carried out in strict accordance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, which completely eliminates the risks of cross-infection. There is no shortage of equipment, the centers are operating as usual, and there are no threats to patient health,” the institution added.
