At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Health Ryspek Sydygaliev presented information on the current situation regarding diseases in the country, affecting both children and adults. Among the diseases mentioned are pneumonia and bronchial asthma.
Sydygaliev stated that while the situation cannot be called critical, official data confirms the presence of these diseases. He provided a comparative analysis indicating that the incidence rate decreased by 29.5% from 2014 to 2024. Nevertheless, the problem has not completely disappeared. He also noted that during the same period, the mortality rate increased by 42.6%.

In response to a deputy's question about a possible link between morbidity and smog, the deputy minister emphasized that it cannot be definitively stated that smog is the cause of diseases, as people's health depends on many factors.
At the same time, he pointed out that a significant portion of diseases is related to non-communicable conditions and may be influenced by environmental factors. Sydygaliev also expressed hope that the development of gasification and the increase in the number of electric vehicles in Bishkek will have a positive impact on the health of the population in the future.
