In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a scientific and practical conference titled "Knowledge is Power: Fighting Cancer Together" was held, dedicated to World Cancer Day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
According to the agency, this event became a key platform for discussing issues of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oncological diseases, as well as for sharing experiences among specialists.
Among the participants of the conference were Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Mahabat Mavlyanova and Gulnara Baatyrova, the leadership of the National Center for Oncology and Hematology, employees of the Republican Center for Health Promotion and Mass Communication (RCHPMC), leading oncologists, specialists in oncological hematology, and representatives of relevant organizations.
The conference addressed the current state of oncological care in the country, existing problems in the field and ways to solve them, as well as the important topic of early diagnosis and accessibility of specialized medical care. Participants emphasized the need for intersectoral cooperation, raising public awareness about cancer diseases, and the role of prevention in reducing morbidity and mortality from cancer.
Particular attention was paid to a report on the activities of the RCHPMC, which focused on its role in the prevention of oncological diseases. The report presented key areas of the Center's work, including informing the public, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and advancing programs for preventive examinations and screenings.
In addition, conference participants were provided with informational and educational materials from RCHPMC employees, highlighting the importance of preventive measures, early diagnosis, and timely detection of oncological diseases.
"Seeking medical help at early stages significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and complete recovery," the message notes.
