The head of the United States, Donald Trump, announced the introduction of a permanent ban on immigration from developing countries. He mentioned this during a meeting with his supporters in Pennsylvania, as reported by TRT.
“America is taking in too many immigrants. Therefore, I have imposed a permanent ban on immigration from countries like Afghanistan, Somalia, Tahiti, and many others. Why are we taking people from there? Why not citizens of Denmark, Norway, or Sweden?” the president stated.
Recently, it became known that the White House approved a new procedure for obtaining work permits, as well as for asylum seekers and participants in several programs. The validity of these documents will be reduced from five years to eighteen months.
