As a result of this meeting, Lkhagvasuren Badran, who was acting as the President of the Bank of Mongolia, was relieved of his duties, and his position was taken by Naranjogt Sanjaa.
Naranjogt Sanjaa, born in 1973 in Dundgovi aimag, received a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from the National University of Mongolia in 1994. Later, from 1999 to 2001, he completed his master's degree at the same university and then defended his doctoral dissertation at Seoul National University in South Korea from 2005 to 2008.
Since 2022, Naranjogt Sanjaa has held the position of Executive Director of the state-owned company Erdenes Mongol LLC and will now lead the Central Bank of Mongolia.
As he left his position, Lkhagvasuren Badran congratulated the new president Naranjogt Sanjaa and wished him success in his work, officially transferring his powers to him.
