The UK has imposed sanctions on companies from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan due to ties with the Russian Federation

The UK government has expanded its sanctions list against Russia, adding five companies from Central Asia — four from Uzbekistan and one from Kyrgyzstan. These firms are suspected of collaborating with the Russian Federation, and starting from December 18, London will impose financial restrictions against them, including asset freezes, as stated in official documents from the UK Treasury.

The following Uzbek enterprises are included in the list:

According to British authorities, these companies are accused of supplying goods and technologies to Russia that could have been used in military actions in Ukraine. Specific details have not been clarified.

Also featured in the updated list is "Kifiko," a company registered in Bishkek. London accuses this organization of supporting the Russian economy through financial operations that are strategically significant for the Russian authorities. It is noted that "Kifiko" has connections with the company A7, which was already under sanctions from the UK, the US, and the EU.

In addition, companies from Russia and the United Arab Emirates have also been included in the sanctions list.

Along with legal entities, sanctions have been imposed on individuals. Among the latter is businessman Rustam Muminov, who holds citizenships from Uzbekistan, Israel, and Russia. Previously, Ukraine had already imposed restrictive measures against him, citing his connection with the company that owns the Fergana Chemical Plant.
