During this event, issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed, as well as opportunities for the development of trade, economic, and investment relations. Special attention was given to attracting leading Japanese companies to establish joint industrial enterprises in various sectors.
It was proposed to develop a Program for Trade and Economic Cooperation for the period from 2026 to 2028.
In addition, the parties expressed their readiness to increase the number of scholarships for training specialists in such important areas as medicine, aviation technology, information security, and environmental protection.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rahmon invited the Prime Minister of Japan to visit Tajikistan on an official visit.
