The meeting took place on December 26 in Astana as part of the official visit of the Secretary General of TURKPA. Ramil Hasan informed Erlan Koshanov about the current activities of the organization, the work of the International Secretariat, as well as about recent visits to Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Issues regarding TURKPA's participation in the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva and the 23rd Autumn Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly were discussed, along with the draft Work Plan for 2026. Meeting participants emphasized the importance of applying for observer status for TURKPA in the OSCE PA.
Additionally, initiatives for organizing an international TURKPA conference in 2026 and holding meetings of the relevant committees of the parliaments of the participating countries during Kazakhstan's chairmanship were considered.
Erlan Koshanov expressed satisfaction with the results of TURKPA's work and confirmed Kazakhstan's full support for the activities of this organization.
