During the meeting, Kёver congratulated Hasan on his appointment as the Secretary General of TURKPA and expressed joy regarding the first visit of the organization's leader to the Hungarian Parliament. He also noted Hungary's unwavering support for cooperation with Turkic states.
The Secretary General conveyed greetings from the speakers of the parliaments of the TURKPA member states, emphasizing the historical connection between the Hungarian and Turkic peoples. He thanked Hungary for its active participation since being granted observer status in 2014 and highlighted the importance of the Budapest summit of the Turkic Council.
During the discussion, plans for 2026, the results of the recent coordination meeting, and ways to enhance interaction between TURKPA and European structures were addressed. Hasan also shared upcoming initiatives, including the first informal meeting of the speakers of the TURKPA parliaments, scheduled for April 2026, and preparations for the 15th plenary session, which will take place in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations and discussed new formats for cooperation, including the "Turkic Council+" concept and the development of contacts between parliamentary committees.
Kёver invited Hasan to participate in the Kurultai — the Great Assembly of the Hunnic and Turkic peoples, which will be held in Hungary in 2026. Concluding the meeting, Hasan sent his best wishes regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections in Hungary.
As part of their visit, the delegation also took a tour of the Hungarian Parliament building, one of the main architectural symbols of the country.
