Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, announced the continuation of a decisive fight against terrorism both within the country and beyond its borders. This statement was made against the backdrop of an operation aimed at militants of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" in Yalova.
Ali Yerlikaya, the Minister of Interior of Turkey, previously reported the elimination of six ISIS militants in Yalova province. Unfortunately, three police officers also lost their lives during the clashes.
Erdogan expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and noted that he prays for mercy for the heroic police officers who died as a result of the operation. "We will continue our resolute, multifaceted, and uncompromising fight against the bloodthirsty murderers who threaten the safety of our people and state," he wrote on the social network X, adding that he hopes for the speedy recovery of the injured police officers.
