Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced that Caracas is under attack.
He stated: “Caracas is currently under attack. Notify the whole world: Venezuela is under attack! There is a rocket bombardment. An urgent meeting of the Organization of American States and the UN is necessary.”
Since this morning, loud explosions have been heard throughout the capital of Venezuela and in other regions of the country.
So far, there have been no official comments on the situation from either Washington or Caracas.
