The main goal of the festival is to promote Bactrian camels and camel culture, as well as to expand economic ties related to products derived from camels. Additionally, an important aspect of the event is the transmission of the cultural heritage of camel breeding to future generations.
Various activities are planned within the framework of the festival, including a nationwide meeting of camel breeders, contests for camel culture artisans, and races featuring two-year-old camels (tor) and three-year-old camels (tailag).
It is worth noting that in 2016, the "Mongolian Camels-999" competition took place in Dalanzadgad, Umnugovi Province, which became significant due to the participation of 1,108 camels. This achievement was recorded in the Guinness World Records as the largest camel race.
