The publication also lists the batch numbers of the products that will be withdrawn from sale. The recall concerns products from several brands, including NAN 1 OPTIPRO, NAN 2 OPTIPRO, NAN sour milk, NAN Supreme, and ALFARE Amino.

The company notes that, despite the insignificant amount of the toxin and the absence of its regulation in Uzbekistan, as of January 5 of this year, actions to recall certain batches of baby food in Central Asia have begun as part of Nestle's global strategy to minimize potential risks.

Furthermore, Nestle Food has already notified regulatory authorities and is ready to provide the necessary information about its actions in the Uzbek market. Customers who purchased products that may contain the toxin can return them by following the company's established rules.

It is important to note that the recall only concerns a limited number of batches of baby formulas, and other Nestle products will remain on sale in Uzbek stores.

It is worth mentioning that the company previously announced a similar recall in Kazakhstan, where the reason was also the potential presence of the toxin cereulide in some batches. Similar measures have been taken in Russia and several European countries.

Cereulide is a toxin that does not break down when boiling or reheating food. If ingested, it can cause acute food poisoning, manifesting symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
