According to the explanatory note, the main goal of the document is to protect consumer rights, improve the conditions for storing and selling products, as well as to increase consumer awareness about the composition of goods and meet the population's need for healthy nutrition.
According to the draft, changes are proposed to the trading rules for certain groups of goods.
In particular, sellers will be required to place natural juices and products containing juice components separately from each other — on different shelves, displays, or designated trading sections.
This separation will allow for a clear distinction of these products in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulation of the Customs Union.
Additionally, at each trading area where juices are sold, accurate and legible information about the product composition must be displayed, including the mandatory indication of the presence of juice components in juice-containing beverages.
These measures are aimed at preventing misleading consumers.
The draft also includes new requirements for labeling locally produced goods. In stores with an area of more than 50 square meters, it is proposed to allocate separate shelves or racks for Kyrgyz products, which will be marked with the shelf talker "Organic."
For trading areas of 200 square meters or more, it is proposed to install lightweight advertising structures above the points of sale of domestic goods with appropriate labeling.
In addition, for trading areas exceeding 200 square meters, it is planned to place informational signs, banners, shelf talkers, and "Organic" banners to attract consumer attention.
