Senator Graham: Trump Gave the "Green Light" to the Bill Strengthening Sanctions Against Russia
Lindsey Graham shared that after a productive meeting with Donald Trump on various issues, the president approved a bipartisan bill on sanctions against Russia, as he wrote in his post on the social network X.
In November 2025, Graham claimed that this bill would give the U.S. president the ability to impose secondary sanctions and tariffs on imports from countries that purchase Russian oil and gas. He also noted that this could encourage Vladimir Putin to engage in peace negotiations. Graham added that the majority of Congress members, both Democrats and Republicans, support this bill.
