As reported by Reuters, the House of Representatives passed the bill by a large majority, and a similar decision followed from the Senate within hours. The document now needs to be signed by President Donald Trump.

According to a senior source in the White House, Trump plans to sign the law as soon as it arrives. It is also reported that the White House is surprised at how quickly the bill passed through the Senate, as it was expected that the discussion would take more time.

The acceleration of the process is related to pressure within the Republican Party and growing public discontent. The scandal involving Epstein, along with rising prices, has negatively affected Trump's popularity, which has reached a record low this year.

Although Trump initially opposed the disclosure of documents, he ultimately yielded to the demands of his allies. This issue caused internal disagreements among Republicans and led to conflict with some of his supporters, including Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who openly criticized the Department of Justice for a lack of transparency in the Epstein case.

Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire and financier, was accused of trafficking minors for sexual exploitation in July 2019. According to investigators, from 2002 to 2005, he sexually abused underage girls, paid them for sex, and coerced them into recruiting their peers. A month after his arrest, Epstein died in prison, and his death was officially ruled a suicide.
