According to Klitschko, there have also been disruptions in water supply. As a result, city services are operating under emergency conditions.

He noted that the combined attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, which took place on the night of January 9, was the "most destructive" for the capital's infrastructure. The mayor urged citizens who have the opportunity to temporarily leave the city and move to areas where alternative sources of heat and food are available.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported the introduction of emergency shutdowns on the left bank of Kyiv and in some parts of the region, while on the right bank, hourly shutdown schedules are in effect. The energy company DTEK added that as a result of the attack and network overloads, emergency shutdowns were implemented throughout the city. According to the company, 417,000 households in the Desnyansky, Dnipro, Darnytsky, and Holosiivskyi districts were left without electricity.

Moreover, there is no water or heating in the Verkhovna Rada committee, as reported by deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

On the night of January 9, Russian troops struck Kyiv using drones and missiles. As a result of the attack, four people were killed and more than 20 were injured. President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that one of the damaged facilities was the building of the Qatari embassy. That same night, Lviv was also attacked, where a "Oreshnik" missile was used to strike one of the largest gas storage facilities in Europe.
