The Iranian state authority issued a NOTAM notification about the closure of its airspace to civilian flights. An exception has been made for international flights that can operate in and out of the country with special permits, according to information from the Russian service of the BBC.

Additionally, the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iran's air defense have been put on heightened combat readiness.

Amid discussions of possible military actions against Iran due to the brutal suppression of protests, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a reduction in military personnel at the Al Udeid airbase in Qatar.

Officials told CBS that this step is a preventive measure.

Al Udeid is considered one of the key American military bases in the Middle East, housing about 10,000 military and civilian personnel.

Iranian authorities warned that in the event of an attack by the U.S., they would strike American bases in the region.

According to the BBC, in addition to American troops, part of the British military contingent is being withdrawn from Al Udeid.

Britain has also temporarily closed its embassy in Tehran, with operations being conducted remotely.

This week, Trump stated that the U.S. is prepared to take "very tough actions" against Iran if executions of protesters occur.

On Wednesday, he reported that, according to his administration's data, "killings in Iran have been suspended, executions are not planned." In response to reporters' questions, Trump added that the information came from "very significant sources," and he hopes it is true.

When asked about the possibility of military action, Trump replied, "We will monitor the situation and see how everything develops."

According to two European officials who spoke to Reuters on January 14, the U.S. may use military force against Iran within the next 24 hours.

Israeli sources also informed Reuters that Trump appears to have made a decision regarding military action against Iran, although the details and timing remain unclear.

Iran, for its part, stated that it would repel attacks from the U.S. On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Fox News, reminded that Trump made a mistake last June by ordering the bombing of Iran: "Keep in mind that if you try to repeat a failed experience, you will get the same result."
