The number of fatalities due to the snowstorm in the USA has exceeded 70 people

According to the National Weather Service, the snowstorm covered two-thirds of the territory of the United States over the weekend and continued into Monday. The weather affected about 200 million people, and a cold cyclone spread across the eastern part of the country, where temperatures continue to drop to record lows. Meteorologists note that this could become one of the longest cold spells in recent decades.

The winter storm named "Fern" hit the United States on January 23, where snowdrifts reached heights of 30 cm. The situation was exacerbated by frost and icy conditions, leading to damage to power lines, leaving about 700,000 people without electricity.
