
During a press conference, the minister clarified that according to the information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, a criminal case has been initiated in Moscow, and the perpetrator has been detained. He has been charged with murder and attempted murder with aggravating circumstances, and the court has already chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
Mukhriddin also added that the Russians promised to inform about the further results of the investigation in the future.
He emphasized that the tragedy that happened to Kobiljon has become "the pain of the entire people of Tajikistan."
"From the very beginning, this incident has been under the close control of the president, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also actively participating in its investigation," he noted.
At the same time, the minister did not disclose whether Kobiljon's parents have a lawyer and did not specify when the court proceedings would begin.
Speaking about the safety of Tajik children and citizens in Russia, he noted that the republic maintains constant contacts with the Russian authorities. "A lot of work is being done between our countries," he added.
According to the minister, every incident involving Tajik citizens in Russia is taken under control, and all diplomatic missions are taking measures to protect the rights of their citizens.
"However, as you know, Russia is a vast country, and we have Tajiks in every district. It is not always easy to provide timely assistance to all our compatriots. Nevertheless, we have mutual understanding with the Russian side," he explained.
The minister noted that despite some unpleasant cases, "there is mutual understanding at the government level, and cooperation will continue."
Kobiljon Aliyev was killed on December 16 in a school in the Moscow region by a 15-year-old teenager who stabbed him. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan stated that the attack was motivated by national hatred.
The boy's body was returned to Tajikistan on December 18, 2025, and he was buried in his native Shahrinav district.
