Speaking about the situation in Iran, Trump noted that there have been no significant changes over the past decades.

He emphasized: "For 47 years, there have only been talks. We have lost many lives," but did not specify who he sees as the new leader, only adding that "there are people" capable of taking on this position.

Against the backdrop of rising tensions in the region, the United States is increasing its military presence. Trump announced that the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier will be sent from the Caribbean Sea to the Middle East, where the USS Abraham Lincoln is already located.

Earlier, Pentagon officials stated that the increase in military forces is related to pressure on Iran to achieve a new nuclear deal. In January, the American side did not rule out the possibility of attacks on Iran in response to the harsh repression against protesters in the country.

Despite the tough rhetoric, Trump, after talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noted the importance of ongoing dialogue with Tehran. "I emphasized the need for negotiations to find out if an agreement is possible," he wrote on his platform Truth Social.

Washington demands that Iran cease uranium enrichment, while Israel insists on limiting the missile program and stopping support for armed groups. Iran, for its part, has stated its readiness to discuss its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of sanctions, but warned that it will not agree to "unreasonable demands."

It is worth noting that during his first presidential term, Trump withdrew the U.S. from the nuclear agreement with Iran, signed during Barack Obama's administration, and reinstated economic sanctions against the country. Later, Washington attempted to resume negotiations for a new agreement.
