During the incident, 56-year-old Robert Dorgan was arrested, who also used the name Robert Esposito and sometimes referred to himself with a female name.
The shooting occurred just as the match between the Coventry and Blackstone Valley high school hockey teams was about to begin. As a result of the tragedy, three people died, and three others were seriously injured and hospitalized in critical condition.
Among the victims was a relative of the suspect—his son's mother. Another victim later died in the hospital. Dorgan reportedly took his own life at the scene.
The reasons that led to this horrific incident remain unknown. Law enforcement agencies are continuing the investigation.
