From May 20 to May 30, 2026, the Asian Individual Chess Championship will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This event became known thanks to information from MiddleAsianNews.
This championship will be the 21st individual tournament for men and the 27th for women in the history of Asia. Participants from different countries will compete for continental titles and the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup.
The tournament will be held with standard time control and conducted using the Swiss system, making it even more interesting.
The organization of the competition is handled by the Asian Chess Federation, and this event will be an important qualifying stage for the region.
