
The conference will take place from June 28 to July 2, 2026, and will focus on the theme: “Challenges posed by the melting permafrost in Asia to the global community.” During this meeting, issues related to changes and problems associated with permafrost degradation on the continent will be addressed. It is expected that more than 360 scientists from 25 countries, including the USA, China, India, Japan, Norway, Germany, Canada, and Russia, will participate.
Field studies are also planned in locations such as the Altai Mountains, Khangai, Khövsgöl, and Khentii.
