The Prime Minister of Mongolia, L. Zandanshatar, is working in Khuvsgul Province.
The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing for an important meeting scheduled for January 15, 2026. At this meeting, the chairpersons of the councils, representatives of the citizens of Ulaanbaatar, and governors will gather to sign agreements on the results achieved.
In anticipation of this event, the government is organizing an online meeting to create a common understanding of the economic, social, and sectoral policies that will be implemented in 2026 in the provinces, the capital, soums, and districts.
The Deputy Head of the Cabinet Secretariat, R. Shatarbal, noted that previously information was exchanged only between the leaders of the provinces and the capital, but now it will be provided in an integrated form not only to them but also to department heads and local officials. He emphasized that state policy should be transparent and accessible to citizens, without bureaucratic barriers.
The online meeting involves leaders from 21 provinces, as well as representatives from the capital and more than 300 soums and districts.
During the event, Prime Minister Zandanshatar presented an overview of the current socio-economic situation, achievements of 2025, and the government's strategic priorities for 2026.
The Prime Minister also informed the participants about a 300-day action plan aimed at accelerating economic recovery and distributing its benefits among citizens. He urged local authorities to actively participate in the implementation of this plan, which is focused on creating a favorable business environment, protecting citizens' livelihoods, and maintaining stable macroeconomic growth.
