According to information provided by The Chosun Daily, Kim Jong Un regularly takes his daughter to events related to nuclear and missile tests, where she is likely already involved in military affairs.

Reports suggest that she may be assigned the role of "head of missile management." Formally, this position is held by Chang Chang Ha, but intelligence indicates that Kim Ju Ae is presumably receiving reports from generals and may be giving instructions.

Preparation for Future Succession

At a closed parliamentary meeting on February 12, South Korea's National Intelligence Service reported on the possible preparation of Kim Jong Un's daughter for the role of future successor.

Additionally, there is information that Kim Ju Ae may already be participating in discussions on important political issues.

“Authorities are closely monitoring whether relevant signs will appear at the IX Congress of the Workers' Party, which is taking place from February 19 in Pyongyang,” the source adds.

Information about Kim Ju Ae

Kim Jong Un's daughter first appeared in public in November 2022 when she accompanied him to the launch of the intercontinental missile "Hwasong-17." She was referred to as the "beloved daughter," but her name remained a secret for a long time.

It is worth noting that Kim Jong Un's name also went unmentioned in the media for a long time—until 2010, when he was introduced as the presumed successor.

Recently, it became known that North Korea conducted its first ballistic missile tests in 2026, launching them toward the Sea of Japan. Additionally, in the autumn months of 2025, Kim Jong Un and his daughter attended an air show commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Air Force of the DPRK.
