According to specialists, solar activity is "quickly recovering" after the decline that occurred in mid-February.
The detection of an M2.4 class flare indicates an average level of intensity. More than ten flares were recorded within a day.
The laboratory noted: "Yesterday there was only one flare on the Sun, and the day before there were none at all. Although this event is not particularly powerful, it is formally the most significant flare since February 9."
However, current solar activity is significantly lower than at the beginning of the month, when six X-class flares occurred, which are more powerful than M-class flares.
There is no particular threat to Earth, as the active region is located at the edge of the solar disk.
In early February, there was abnormally high activity on the Sun, when the active region AR 4366 set a record for the 21st century for the number of powerful flares.
