A strong solar flare marked the beginning of December, as reported by Kazinform, citing Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, on his Telegram channel.
The specialist reported that a class X flare was recorded in the morning hours, with a preliminary power estimate of 1.95 on the X scale. The peak of activity occurred at 7:49 Astana time, making it one of the five strongest solar flares since the beginning of 2025.
Leus also added that the group of sunspots where this flare originated is located far enough from the direct line between the Sun and Earth, which minimizes the likelihood of solar material reaching our planet.
