The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh, arrived in Sweden on an official visit at the invitation of her Swedish counterpart, Maria Malmör Stenergard.
During the visit, she held a meeting with representatives of the Mongolian community living in the country.
There are over 12,000 citizens of Mongolia in Sweden, among which there are more than 20 non-governmental organizations and associations actively engaged in preserving and promoting the Mongolian language, culture, traditions, as well as national sports and arts.
Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh thanked the Mongolian citizens for their significant contribution to the dissemination of national art and traditional culture in Sweden and other European countries, and also awarded them the highest state honors — orders and medals conferred by the decree of the President of Mongolia.
