One day of the US operation against Iran costs nearly $900 million — analysts

According to analysts' estimates, the first 100 hours of the military operation cost approximately $3.7 billion, which is equivalent to $891 million per day. Most of these expenses were not accounted for in the existing US military budget — about $3.5 billion.

Interest in the financial aspects of the operation is shown by both members of Congress and various media and the public; however, various estimates on this issue have been voiced earlier.

CSIS experts note that costs may decrease if the US armed forces begin to use more affordable munitions, and if the intensity of attacks from Iran is reduced. Nevertheless, the final cost of the operation will depend on the scale of military actions and the effectiveness of Iran's countermeasures.

The Epic Fury operation started on February 28, when the United States began its actions against Iran, later joined by Israel.
