The visit was a logical continuation of Jitka Seitlova's trip to Mongolia, which took place in October 2025, timed to the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic. This event aims to strengthen and develop cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries.
During their stay in the Czech Republic, the Bat-Erdene delegation held a series of official meetings, including discussions with Vice President of the Senate Jitka Seitlova, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Patrik Nacher, and the Chairman of the Senate's Permanent Committee on Regional Development, Public Administration, and Environmental Protection Zbyněk Linhart. A visit was also made to His Excellency Miloš Vystrčil, the Chairman of the Senate.
During the meetings, Deputy Chairman Bat-Erdene noted that Mongolia and the Czech Republic maintain active and frequent high-level relations, which contribute to the development of their legislative bodies. He emphasized Mongolia's desire to deepen the Comprehensive Partnership with the Czech Republic as an important European partner and "third neighbor," focusing on economic cooperation. Key areas include trade, investment, transport, infrastructure, environmental protection, agriculture, industry, healthcare, and education.
Additionally, Bat-Erdene informed about upcoming events in Mongolia, such as the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17) in August and the International Meeting of Women Parliamentarians in October, inviting Czech colleagues to participate actively.
The Czech side highly appreciated Mongolia's involvement in environmental protection and combating desertification, confirming readiness to participate in international meetings. It was also noted that Mongolia has made significant progress in increasing the number of women in parliament and supporting women's leadership.
Furthermore, Deputy Speaker Bat-Erdene met with representatives of the Speaker's Office of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Tomio Okamura, as well as members of the Chamber of Deputies and businesspeople, including Radek Jakubsky, Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
In conclusion of the meetings, Bat-Erdene emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations based on rich traditions and expressed gratitude to the Czech authorities for their care for Mongolian citizens living in the Czech Republic and for supporting their safety and educational opportunities.
