During these meetings, a conversation was organized with Abdelrahim Almaaya, who holds the position of President of the International Congress of Parliamentarians and previously served as the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Jordan.

During the meeting, the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding, signed in 2023 between TURKPA and the International Congress of Parliamentarians, was discussed. Participants noted that more active involvement of parliamentarians from TURKPA member countries is necessary to expand the opportunities for joint work.

In this regard, Almaaya expressed interest in enhancing the level of cooperation, calling for the active participation of deputies from the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey in the events of the International Congress of Parliamentarians.

The parties discussed these issues and agreed that the International Congress of Parliamentarians would officially send a letter to the TURKPA Secretariat with proposals for specific mechanisms to develop joint work. In response, the TURKPA Secretariat plans to reach out to the heads of parliaments of the member countries to coordinate possible areas of interaction in various fields.

This meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA, Muhammet Alper Hayali, and the head of the protocol service, Yadigar Mammadov.
