An 18-meter Ferris wheel collapsed at a fair in India, injuring more than 30 people

The wheel fell late in the evening during the fair. According to preliminary information, there were about 70-80 people on the ride at the time of the accident, including children. As a result of the incident, around 30 people were injured, more than ten of whom are in serious condition. All the injured were taken to medical facilities for assistance.

The city authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether safety measures met the requirements. Initial findings suggest that the possible causes of the collapse could be overcrowding on the ride and damage to its structure.

We remind you that in February, a similar incident occurred in another Indian city, Faridabad. There, at the "Surajkund" fair, a swinging ride collapsed, resulting in one death and 13 injuries.
