According to the latest data, six people have died as a result of a fire that occurred on a bus in western Switzerland. As reported by local law enforcement, five people were injured, citing information from European media here.

The incident happened on the evening of March 10 on the main street in the small town of Kertzers, located in the canton of Fribourg, about 20 km from the capital of Switzerland, Bern. When emergency services arrived at the scene, the bus was already engulfed in flames.

Three of the injured are in serious condition and have been taken to the hospital, while two others received assistance at the scene.

Currently, the police are conducting a criminal investigation. Investigators are considering the possibility that the fire may have been caused by the intentional actions of one of the passengers, but the final causes of the incident have not yet been established.

It is known that the bus belonged to the company PostBus and was operating a regular route. The area has been cordoned off, and local authorities have urged citizens to avoid the area until the investigative actions are completed.
