The Supreme Court has put an end to the case of Kursan Asanov and his accomplice Beishenbekov.

The Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan has concluded the case concerning Kursan Asanov, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, and his okulu bala, Tursunbek Beishenbekov, a former editor of the newspaper "Chyndyk." In its ruling, the court explained that the defense's arguments regarding the innocence of Asanov and Beishenbekov in knowingly false reports of a crime had already been thoroughly examined by the courts of first and appellate instances. The court concluded that the evidence collected confirms their involvement in the crime.

In this regard, the decisions of the district court dated June 8, 2023, and the appellate judicial panel of the Bishkek City Court dated September 7, 2023, remain in force for both defendants in the case — Asanov Kursan Satarovich and Beishenbekov Tursunbek Beishenbekovich. Previously, they could have avoided punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The cassation appeal filed by lawyer Chynara Jakupbekova was rejected.

This ruling is final and not subject to appeal.

It is worth noting that on August 23, 2024, Tursunbek Beishenbekov was appointed director of the Talas regional branch of the State Insurance Organization under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.
