According to the publication, the explosion damaged one of the buildings in the "Grozny-City" complex, which houses the offices of the Security Council of Chechnya and the company "Chechenneftekhimprom." As a result of the incident, windows were shattered and window openings were destroyed on several floors of the tower.

According to preliminary reports, the cause of the explosion may have been a drone that hit the building. Emergency services are working at the scene, and a "Carpet" mode has been introduced at the region's airports.
