
Her appointment became possible as a result of signing an employment contract with a three-month probation period. The First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, Soyuzbek Nadybekov, introduced the new leader to the team.
Tolgonai Tokombaeva was born on November 20, 1974, in Tokmok, located in the Chui region. In 2004, she graduated from Bishkek Humanities University, earning a degree in management.
Tokombaeva began her career in 1998 when she became a research associate at the Burana tower museum.
Since 2017, she has actively participated in international initiatives, such as UNESCO, USAID, and JICA projects. Among them are "Silk Road Heritage Corridors," "Protection of the Burana Tower from Anthropogenic and Seismic Threats," "Talking Ceramics," and "Museum Audio Guide."
Additionally, from 2021 to 2024, Tolgonai Tokombaeva served as a deputy of the Burana village council.
It should be noted that according to the Order of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the previous director of the museum complex, Anita Shamenova, left her position voluntarily.
