On November 3, Tolgonai Tokombaeva was appointed as the new director of the museum complex "Burana Tower." This appointment was the result of an order from the Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev. According to the employment agreement, she has been assigned a three-month probationary period.
It is important to note that her predecessor in this position, Anita Shamenova, left at her own request.
The First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov, introduced the new leader to the team.
Tolgonai Kedeikhanovna Tokombaeva was born on November 20, 1974, in Tokmok, Chui region. In 2004, she graduated from Bishkek Humanities University with a degree in management.
She began her career in 1998 at the "Burana Tower" museum as a research associate.
Since 2017, Tokombaeva has actively participated in international projects related to UNESCO, USAID, and JICA, including programs such as "Silk Road Heritage Corridors," "Protection of the Burana Tower from anthropogenic and seismic threats," "Talking Ceramics," and "Museum Audio Guide."
Additionally, from 2021 to 2024, she served as a deputy of the Burana village council.
