According to the information from the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, an attack occurred in the Black Sea, near the CPC marine terminal, on two tankers engaged in the transportation of export oil from Kazakhstan.
The first to be targeted by the drone was the tanker Matilda, registered under the flag of Malta. As a result of the attack, an explosion occurred; however, a fire did not break out. The crew remained safe and unharmed. Technical services preliminarily assessed that the hull of the tanker did not sustain critical damage.

The second tanker, Delta Harmony, flying the flag of Liberia, was also attacked. In this case, a fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished. The crew members were not injured. The operational headquarters reported that at the time of the incident, loading oil onto the tanker had not yet commenced, so no harm was done to the country's export resources.

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan is actively cooperating with the national operator "KazMunayGas," as well as with the consortium administration and shipowners to ensure the safety of logistics chains and the uninterrupted flow of export supplies, as stated in the official message.
