The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan reported that the incident did not lead to a complete halt in exports, and oil shipments continue as usual.

“Currently, the ministry is working with shippers to take operational measures to redistribute the exported volumes of oil. In particular, it has been decided to redirect part of the Kashagan oil to China. The situation is under constant control of the Ministry of Energy,” the official statement said.

We remind you that on the morning of November 29, as a result of an attack by drone boats, the offshore mooring device of the CPC VPU-2 was severely damaged. The consortium is responsible for transporting oil from three significant fields in Kazakhstan: Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed a protest regarding the events, noting that this is already the third case of aggression against a civilian object. In response, Ukraine confirmed that the actions were not directed against Kazakhstan.
