According to information from the Drug Control Service, 21 special operations were conducted last year using the "controlled delivery" method for drugs, including to other countries. As a result, 17 underground drug laboratories were shut down, 5 of which produced synthetic drugs, and more than 700 kg of such substances were seized.
A brief overview of the Drug Control Service's work in 2025 includes:
- Suppression of the activities of 116 drug groups, which committed 142 crimes; as a result, 286 people were detained, including 22 members of organized crime groups registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
- Detection of 82 drug-related crimes committed via the internet and mobile messengers, as well as the blocking of 54 online stores, 15 of which were closed by court order.
- Suppression of 17 attempts to import drugs into Kyrgyzstan through postal shipments from various countries.
- Criminal liability for drug offenses was imposed on 33 foreign nationals.
- Within the framework of criminal cases related to drugs, the judicial authorities made decisions to arrest and seize property obtained from drug trafficking: 15 residential houses worth 106 million 800 thousand soms; 25 plots of land with a total value of 17 million 650 thousand soms; 26 vehicles worth 49 million 358 thousand soms, as well as cash amounting to 111 thousand 900 US dollars, 8 million Uzbek soms, 9 million 274 thousand 580 soms, and 2 thousand rubles.
- 114 offenses in the field of illegal drug trafficking were identified, with fines imposed totaling 1 million 417 thousand soms.
In order to enhance the effectiveness of the fight against illegal drug trafficking in 2025, the Drug Control Service initiated the adoption of three new laws and two resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.
