On January 27, patrol services in Bishkek stopped a Hyundai Sonata, in which they discovered counterfeit state license plates. This was reported by the press service of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs.

During the inspection, it was revealed that the driver was under the influence of drugs.

“The detained individual did not have a driver's license, and two pairs of fake license plates were found in the vehicle, which he provided for inspection. The plates will be checked through the 'Safe City' video surveillance system to determine if they have been used previously. All necessary protocols have been drawn up and sent to court for further action. The vehicle has been placed in a towing lot,” the press service reported.
